Covid 19 update

20th March 2020

For information about school closure procedures at Holy Spirit Catholic Primary School please activate the parentapps link that has been sent to you by e-mail. Following this, please download parentapps as an app on your digital device. If you do not have the app or you have not received and e-mail, please contact the school office on 0151 525 7497. You can also find up-to-date information on our twitter account @SpiritPrimary

Government guidance states that wherever possible, children should stay at home to minimise the risk of contracting the covid 19 virus. However, if your child would be put at risk following school closures and are classed as vulnerable, then they are allowed to attend school.

The guidance also states that if a parent within the household is a key worker then their child can attend school if no other alternative provision can be made. To find out more information about the vulnerable or key worker categories please visit

Please be aware that different Local Authorities are structuring provision of education in different ways. We are still awaiting advice from Sefton LEA and we will update you as soon as possible.

At this difficult time, we would ask for your support in keeping numbers in school as low as possible so that we can adhere to government guidelines with regards to avoiding social gatherings.

All official communication will be through parentapps, @SpiritPrimary on twitter, or this web-page.

Please keep all in our community and parish in your prayers.

Welcome to our school
